BEING GLOBAL CITIZENS IN OUR GLOBAL VILLAGE

A dear friend of mine gave me the title of "Father Gulliver" with all my travelling around the world, Our Global Village or Our Home Planet  Earth or Our Living Spaceship. Not everyone travels the Global Village as much as I choose to and many travel more than I do. But irregardless of how much or how little we travel we are all Global Citizens and called to be Peace Makers in Our Global Village.

This is an example of Global Citizens

Bishop Kenneth Cragg, an Episcopal Bishop , has set forth this first rule of thumb for all of us as Global Citizens. May we all honor it as individuals and countries taking  responsibility to respect and appreciate all the cultures of Our Global Village and being messengers of Peace.

"OUR FIRST TASK IN APPROACHING ANOTHER PEOPLE, ANOTHER RELIGION, ANOTHER CULTURE IS TO REMOVE OUR SANDALS, FOR THE PLACE WE ARE APPROACHING IS HOLY....
LEST WE TRAMPLE ON PEOPLE'S DREAMS OR EVEN WORST, WE MAY FORGET THAT GOD HAS BEEN THERE BEFORE OUR ARRIVAL."
